Bryan AltmireCHIEF OPERATING OFFICER
Bryan Altmire has extensive experience in the field of homeland security, defense and business. He has supported both the public and private sectors and has worked across a spectrum of organizational types and sizes, including newly formed organizations as well as firmly established entities. Bryan has specialized expertise in research and complex analysis and innovative technology development.
In his research and analysis based work, Bryan applies extensive experience in national security with superior knowledge of homeland security policy and operations and emergency preparedness. He has proven experience leading cohesive teams in large-scale, federal transformation efforts for senior executive clients, including the Commissioner of U.S. Customs & Border Protection, and Assistant Secretary of DHS Policy. In this work he also builds and sustains needed partnerships across federal, non-profit and academic organizations to enable effective operations.
In prior positions, Bryan served as an exercise designer for General Dynamics Corporation and Bridgeborn, Inc. In these positions, Bryan provided high-level technical support to the Army Office of The Surgeon General in support of the Army Medical Department’s (AMEDD) Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Defense (CBRNE) Program, and the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA) National Exercise Program. Moreover, he supported the design, development and execution of large-scale table-top and full-scale exercises including Top Officials 4 (TOPOFF 4).
In his technology-focused work, Bryan led the development of two FEMA software applications to assist homeland security exercise planners. He is also currently developing a bottom-up, technology-enable process that systemically elicits, prioritizes and visualizes functional needs and requirements across any hierarchical organizational. This technology has the ability to provide all levels of leadership with critically needed decision making support and leverages the power of innovative data mining techniques such as natural language processing.
Bryan holds a Master of Arts from Georgetown University and a Bachelor’s of Science from James Madison University. Additionally, Bryan is certified by The Project Management Institute (PMI) as a Project Management Professional (PMP)®.
He resides in Arlington, Virginia with his wife, Elaine, and sons, Mason, and Connor.
